Our Interior Doors are Complete!!!

It’s official!!! Our interior doors are complete, and I looooove them!

Let’s take another glimpse at what they looked like before….

Interior Doors: Before

Here is how they looked after we added the decorative molding…

Interior Doors with Decorative Trim

And here is how they look now!

I am loving the new look of the hardware which I posted about HERE… So far they are holding up fabulously!

The front door….

Not only did we have our interior doors painted, we also had a new chandelier hung in our master bedroom! Notice the ceiling medallion?

The french doors below are to my closet…I especially love the way the trim looks on these particular doors…

So what do you think of the doors?

I am so glad I finally got the courage to dive head first into this project…I am so happy with the end result!

If you are interested to know which paint color I used, see HERE…

The doors are stunning! I love the contrast of the white trim, the door color (I see its not a true black but does look black in the photos) and the wall colors you have throughout your home. Beautiful!! What is the color of the wall in the bedroom you feature here? I really like it with that color but cant really tell if its gray or a blue….love it though! Would love to know the color for my room. Awesome!!!

SMASHING! Love the white trim against the black door. Please tell me about your closet french doors. I am remodeling and need three sets of them. Where did you get them? Also what size is the opening (30 or 36 inch)? Thanks so much in advance, Lizzie Beth

Another gorgeous project — you have such a talent for making a room totally glamorous but also totally comfortable and livable. I’ve printed pictures to add to my “one of these days my house will look like this” file!!!! Thanks for sharing.

  • They look fantastic! I have wanted to do this in my house for a while, but everything was put on hold about a year and a half ago with an impending move. Now we are in a rental in a new city, so I’ll just have to wait for now. I’m jealous!!!

Your doors are beautiful! My doors are all the same size. I would love to make a templete for marking installation guidelines on each door. Would you mind sharing the spacing and dimensions you used for the trim so I could use it as a starting point and adjust it to my doors? Also, were they installed with a drill or just carpenters’ glue?

Thank you. Your blog is amazing!
