Over the past year and a half I have mentioned this client’s “forever home” project a handful of times… As previously mentioned, this home is a new construction and was completed about 3 months ago.
I need to take a minute to brag on one of my Online Design Board clients…
Several months ago, I submitted a Master Bedroom Online Design Board for my out-of-state clients, The Perrigo’s. I was thrilled to recently receive an email from them with photos of the final transformation, and I’m excited to share those photos with you today!
A couple of weeks ago, I posted a sneak peek of a Master Bedroom Makeover that I worked on last Fall. I had the opportunity to photograph the room this weekend (forgive me – I didn’t get as many pictures as I had hoped as this was not my finest hour using my SLR camera).
It’s not often that a client project takes me out of my comfort zone…but when clients, Meredith and Justin, asked me to do a design board for their master bedroom and included these images as their inspiration photos, it brought on feelings of excitement, yet serious stage fright!
Wow – time flies! I cannot believe that one year ago today, I posted my very first blog entry! Little did I know, 7 months later, this little blog would impel me to resign from my full time job to pursue a design business of my own.
I am so thankful for how quickly this business has grown… Since going full time with A Well Dressed Home in March, we have taken on almost 40 new clients for anything from color consults, to design boards, to multiple room makeovers! Who would have thought?!
We were even fortunate enough to be featured in The Dallas Morning News…
…not once, but TWICE…
I’ve been reflecting on some of our most notable projects over the last year such as:
Undoubtably, this year’s most popular Frugal Find…. the infamous trellis rug from Garden Ridge!
And I’d have to say the most popular DIY project was my quick and easy kitchen window shade…
What a fun year this has been! Thanks to YOU, my subscribers, Twitter followers, Facebook friends and fellow bloggers, for your flattering comments and encouraging emails over the last year. I hope you’ll continue to come back for more!!!
Hello everyone! Today I am guest posting over at one of my favorite blogs, “Cottage & Vine,” in a series titled, “My Favorite Room.” I hope you’ll check it out!
Last fall, when Jennifer approached me to help her transform her & her husband’s bedroom, I knew this project would be over-the-top! Not only did we layer the wall in vintage book pages, we also layered the bed in vintage style pillows…some which I found at Home Goods and some which Jennifer made herself!
The lamps, adorned with tiny flowers and crystals, were also found at Home Goods as well as the 6′ birdcage, which we filled with vintage books.

A great big thank you to Misti Davis, of Pink Fly Photography, for the amazing photographs!
On Friday, I shared with you a sneak peek of a recently completed master bedroom makeover…and today, I’m going to share with you the room in it’s entirety! This particular client felt as though her & her husband’s master bedroom was dark and drab… She indicated that she wanted the look to be a sophisticated mix of cool neutrals with a touch of glam.

This particular client felt as though her & her husband’s master bedroom was dark and drab… She indicated that she wanted the look to be a sophisticated mix of cool neutrals with a touch of glam.
So, here is her bedroom in it’s original state of olive greens and browns…
And here is their bedroom now!
A nailhead trimmed linen headboard paired with custom bedding, powder grey walls, sea fan wall art, mercury glass lamps and a sparkling chandelier…all ingredients for a sophisticated master bedroom!
Recognize the bedding from this post?
Notice the porthole mirrors which I posted about several weeks ago HERE…
Thanks again to my clients for being so great to work with! What a fun project this was!
And another great big thank you to Jay of Jay Davis Photography for photographing the room!
*Out of respect to my paying clients, I decline to share specific sources for my designs*
Yesterday was an exciting day…I had one of my master bedroom makeovers photographed by Jay of Jay Davis Photography, so I plan on sharing all of the pictures with you as soon as I receive them!
