Over the past year and a half I have mentioned this client’s “forever home” project a handful of times… As previously mentioned, this home is a new construction and was completed about 3 months ago.

I‘m so excited to finally reveal the remodel that I posted about last week! A great big thank you to the home owner, Jamie, for giving me free reign on this design, and to her husband, Shawn, for saying to her, “It’s whatever you want, babe…” during our initial consultation! (I swear he totally said that…and when he did, it was like the skies parted and the angels started singing…….ahhhhhhh!!!)

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving…I know I did, and I now have a waistline to prove it. Ugh.
Anyhoo, it’s back to the grind around here… and today I’m excited to finally show you this dining room project in its entirety! I was so lucky to have, yet again, extremely amazing clients who were so much fun to work with. I’m not sure how I get so lucky!
From the very beging of this project, my client expressed that she wanted an inviting space with a pop of color… after working with her for only a few days, I began to realize that she desired a bit of a vintage feel, which I was really excited to incorporate into the design.

I need to take a minute to brag on one of my Online Design Board clients…

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a sneak peek of a Master Bedroom Makeover that I worked on last Fall. I had the opportunity to photograph the room this weekend (forgive me – I didn’t get as many pictures as I had hoped as this was not my finest hour using my SLR camera).

Wow – time flies! I cannot believe that one year ago today, I posted my very first blog entry! Little did I know, 7 months later, this little blog would impel me to resign from my full time job to pursue a design business of my own.
I am so thankful for how quickly this business has grown… Since going full time with A Well Dressed Home in March, we have taken on almost 40 new clients for anything from color consults, to design boards, to multiple room makeovers! Who would have thought?!
We were even fortunate enough to be featured in The Dallas Morning News…
…not once, but TWICE…
I’ve been reflecting on some of our most notable projects over the last year such as:
Jennifer’s Vintage Master Bedroom Makeover…
Jenny’s Master Bedroom Makeover…
Magen’s Master Bedroom Makeover…
Undoubtably, this year’s most popular Frugal Find…. the infamous trellis rug from Garden Ridge!
And I’d have to say the most popular DIY project was my quick and easy kitchen window shade…
What a fun year this has been! Thanks to YOU, my subscribers, Twitter followers, Facebook friends and fellow bloggers, for your flattering comments and encouraging emails over the last year. I hope you’ll continue to come back for more!!!
Baby Oliver’s Nursery Sneak Peek!
Do you remember the baby boy nursery design board that I posted a few months ago?
Today I am excited to share with you a sneak peek of Baby Oliver’s Nursery!
The fretwork above was done by the Mommy-to-be using painters tape. I think it turned out fabulous, don’t you?!
I’m loving the Waverly Cross Section fabric on the bumper paired with the mustard yellow ties!
What do you think? I always love to see one of my design boards come to life! Stay tuned…more pics to come in the next few weeks!

It’s official!!! Our interior doors are complete, and I looooove them!
Let’s take another glimpse at what they looked like before….
Here is how they looked after we added the decorative molding…
And here is how they look now!
I am loving the new look of the hardware which I posted about HERE… So far they are holding up fabulously!
The front door….
Not only did we have our interior doors painted, we also had a new chandelier hung in our master bedroom! Notice the ceiling medallion?
The french doors below are to my closet…I especially love the way the trim looks on these particular doors…
So what do you think of the doors?
I am so glad I finally got the courage to dive head first into this project…I am so happy with the end result!
If you are interested to know which paint color I used, see HERE…
