I love redecoring my home in the Spring…even if it just means new sofa pillows or accessories around the living areas. It just feels like the right time to freshen things up a bit.

2012! Bring. It. On.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Unfortunately, I have not had the energy to blog as regularly as I’m used to…my morning sickness has just been too much to handle. But luckily I feel that the nausea might be coming to an end, and it’s a good thing because I have SO many projects that I need to hammer out before these babies come!

My first project, which I’ve been thinking about for months, is the twin’s nursery. We found out the sex of the babies right before Thanksgiving… Can you guess? One BOY and one GIRL! We are very excited to have one of each! Since then, I have been collecting fabrics, ideas, etc for a gender neutral nursery, and I’d really love to hear your opinions!

Baby Oliver’s Nursery Sneak Peek!

Do you remember the baby boy nursery design board that I posted a few months ago?

Today I am excited to share with you a sneak peek of Baby Oliver’s Nursery!

The fretwork above was done by the Mommy-to-be using painters tape. I think it turned out fabulous, don’t you?!

I’m loving the Waverly Cross Section fabric on the bumper paired with the mustard yellow ties!

What do you think? I always love to see one of my design boards come to life! Stay tuned…more pics to come in the next few weeks!

My Favorite Room…

Hello everyone! Today I am guest posting over at one of my favorite blogs, “Cottage & Vine,” in a series titled, “My Favorite Room.” I hope you’ll check it out!

Inspiration for an Upcoming Project…

I have six very large projects that I am working on right now, and while I am notably excited about each and every one of them, I must admit that one project in particular has me in a state of delirious design bliss!

One of the rooms I will be designing in this particular project is the living room…and I just had to share with you our inspiration for the room……

Gorgeous, right?! The home owners are soon-to-be husband and wife….and because they are both attorneys, I felt it was important for them to have a tranquil, calming space to come home to.

The cool color pallet, woven with pops of black, gives the space a sophisticated demeanor. And the chairs speak for themselves…aren’t they beautiful?!

Introducing: My “Go To” Paint Color

Selecting the right paint color can be one of the biggest obstacles in any makeover. Especially when it comes to the ever-so-popular grays…. In my experience, I have seen people select what they think is the perfect shade of gray and it turns out to be bright blue once actually on the wall.

So today, I am sharing my “go to” gray over at Amanda Carol at Home. I have used this particular color in several client projects as well as projects around my own home!

Thanks so much to Amanda for including me in this awesome post! Check it out HERE!

Featured! Our Vintage Bedroom Makeover Hits the Dallas Morning News!

If you get the Dallas Morning News, check out this morning’s Home section! It features the vintage makeover of Jennifer Vaughn’s master bedroom, which she and I collaborated on back in January.

Last fall, when Jennifer approached me to help her transform her & her husband’s bedroom, I knew this project would be over-the-top! Not only did we layer the wall in vintage book pages, we also layered the bed in vintage style pillows…some which I found at Home Goods and some which Jennifer made herself!

The lamps, adorned with tiny flowers and crystals, were also found at Home Goods as well as the 6′ birdcage, which we filled with vintage books.

A great big thank you to Misti Davis, of Pink Fly Photography, for the amazing photographs!

Kravit-Fabric-1024x764

I have spent some serious time shopping for fabrics over the last few weeks….  I’ve been on the hunt for great patterns with small price tags for projects such as custom drapes, pillows, duvets, table skirts, baby bedding, etc… I got pretty excited about some of my finds, so I snapped a few pics with my iphone and I’m sharing them with you today!
