DIY Wall of Book Pages: Vintage Master Bedroom Follow-up
Ever since last Monday’s post on my friend Jennifer’s “Vintage Master Bedroom Make Over,” I have received a slew of emails asking, “How did you accomplish that wall of book pages?!”
Well, today I’m here to tell you that it was as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!
First, you will need to purchase (or dig out of your grandmother’s attic) 3-4 old books. Make sure they are well weathered…you can weather them yourself by leaving them out in the rain to get that tea stained look around the edges.
Second, you will need to very carefully tear out the pages from the books. I recommend shuffling them in the stack so that there is a good mix of them on the wall.
Third, you will take a can of spray adhesive such as the one pictured below….
Simply spray the center of the back of the book page, and press it to the wall. It is important not to saturate the entire back of the page as you want all four sides of the pages to sort of flutter and curl…
And voila! You have a unique vintage inspired wall!
So how many of you are putting this project on your ”to-do” list this weekend?? If anyone decides to try this at home, I would love to see the results!

So i have to ask….won’t those pages collect a lot of dust? How can you clean them? What happens when she wants to change the look?
It IS BEAUTIFUL, and i love it, but everytime i see someone put “weird” things on walls I have to wonder about the dust factor.
Beautiful room!

The pages have been up for a few months and so far she hasn’t had any problems with dust. If she wants to go for a different look in the future, the spay adhesive allows the pages to easily be removed.

I kinda agree with bootgypsy… It looks gorgeous, but just wonder about the long term on this project. I really liked the framed board with the tags hanging on it. That was awesome

I would have never have guessed it would have been so simple! It looks amazing!

I’m thinking I’m going to try this but I’m going to staple brown kraft paper on the wall and put the paper on that. Then if I don’t like it, change my mind later, can’t deal with the dust, I’ll just take down the kraft paper with the pages attached and have my bare wall back. Going to “experiment” this weekend….

Good luck, Julie! Send pics when you are finished!

I am finally back home in the Big D area and closing on a home this week – I have collected my pages and gotten my spray glue. BUT, the only wall I can put the bed against (it’s a Victorian one with a tall headboard) has a WINDOW. A small, wide one, which the head. I was wondering how awful would it look to do this treatment with a window? Thank you so much for all of your creativity! (I love being home in Dallas!)

[...] I will keep you posted on what I come up with, but in the meantime I am loving the tutorial by A Well Dressed Home because she keeps the edges fluttered which makes the space more vintage [...]
