Before & After: Vintage Master Bedroom Make Over

Are you ready for a little vintage design inspiration? If so, you are in for a real treat! Over the past several weeks I have mentioned that I am working on a very Anthropologie inspired master bedroom revamp…and today, I am excited to finally share the transformation!
A few months ago, my friend Jennifer Claire of Memento Designs approached me to help her transform her unfinished master bedroom in to something “major!” Everybody has a room in their house that has been neglected, and for Jennifer this was her master bedroom.
When I think of Jennifer’s style, three words come to mind…classic, vintage, Anthropologie. Just look at her bridal portraits shot by Jenny Martel at Parkhouse Antiques in Dallas…
….with an admiration of all things vintage and bespoke, this girl is the epitome of unique and her master bedroom could do nothing but follow suite.
Needless to say, this room had to be over the top vintage and I was totally up for the challenge! With no further ado….here is Jennifer’s Master Bedroom before the transformation….
After a trip to Laurie Anna’s in Canton, a stop at Home Goods and several DIY projects, we completed Jennifer’s Anthropologie inspired haven…
We covered the wall in tattered and torn vintage book pages, pulled from “The Best Known Works of Shakespeare Vol. 1,” and “The Home: Courtship, Marriage and Children”…. a hilarious antiquated interpretation of how marriage “should be.” Needless to say, Jennifer and I got quite a kick out of reading insights and expertise of one from the 1930′s.
We were lucky enough to have Misti Davis of Pink Fly Photography photograph the room for us….she was so much fun to work with! I highly recommend her for any of your photography needs!
Curious to know how to accomplish this look yourself? Stay tuned for this vintage master bedroom DIY guide…
