Our Kitchen Remodel is Complete!!!

Emily, Your Kitchen looks AMAZING! I love the nice clean look it has. You did such a great job. The pendant lights make a huge statement. It’s amazing how with just some paint and a change on the hardware how the cabinets look brand new. Can’t wait to see it in person.

i really admire what you did here…we have the same cabinet style in our new place..they are standard looking cabinets. We were thinking of buying just cabinet doors and painting the cabinet boxes ourselves…
Now after seeing yours…i wonder if it would be less pricier to get a remodel company to paint them as they are now instead and just spend money on upper cabinets. Although our ceiling height is 10 feet!.
Any suggestions? What color paint did you use…? How much did the painting remodel cost?

Your kitchen remodel is beautiful….I am actually moving to Dallas soon and am wondering if you painted the cabinets yourself or could recommend the contractor you used to do it. Our new home has a recently remodeled kitchen but I am thinking of having the cabinets painted and of course, have to re-build all of my sources now that I’ll be in a new city. Looking forward to following your blog!

Your house is to die for. I was looking at your rooms and you have a few things I gotta have! I love your living room lamps and the animal print pillows on your bed. Would you be willing to share where you found them? I love gourd lamps but I have tried Robert Abbey and they looked a little too modern/retro-ish for my getup. Also I have to tell you that I live in FL and I love those octopus panel prints too. I pondered getting them but instead I purchased a pair of framed indigo blue sealife prints from wendover art. Every room you feature on your blog is so tasteful and pretty. Thanks for sharing.

I would love to duplicate it! Where did you find your kitchen hardware? They are just what I have been looking for! Also, do you know the name of the stain that you used for the kitchen floor? Hi! I found you off of Emily’s site! Love your kitchen! Where did you get your faucet? Make and model? I am redoing our kitchen as well and I love yours! Also, I see you have the soap dispenser, is it leaking on your granite? I hear that is sometimes a problem.

I love, love, love it! We’re doing our kitchen next month and this was pretty similar to what I had in mind. I decided to get that fabric before seeing this and now it’s a must! I was going to do the “roman shade” look using mini blinds but this is so much easier. Would you mind telling me where you got the light fixture? I didn’t see it mentioned anywhere. I don’t usually like this style but I really like this one. Thanks

Luckily I stumbled across your blog tonight! Isn’t it funny how things like that seem to just happen…I am in the middle of remodeling the kitchen in a home I just purchased in the DFW area. I just had my cabs painted creamy white, I am thinking of going with an antiqued Black Pearl countertop an was unsure what backsplash I wanted until I say yours…I really love it!!! Would you mind sharing where you purchased the marble backsplash with me? Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

We used a 1/2″x1/2″ White Carrara Marble for our backsplash. We purchased it at Floor & Decor over off of 635 & 35 for about $15/sf.

Your kitchen is my inspiration kitchen. I love it, it’s so beautiful. Was originally going to go with a dark brown finish for our cabinets, but after seeing your kitchen remodel, we’ve decided to paint them white. Love it!!
