It’s official!!! Our interior doors are complete, and I looooove them!
Let’s take another glimpse at what they looked like before….
Here is how they looked after we added the decorative molding…
And here is how they look now!
I am loving the new look of the hardware which I posted about HERE… So far they are holding up fabulously!
The front door….
Not only did we have our interior doors painted, we also had a new chandelier hung in our master bedroom! Notice the ceiling medallion?
The french doors below are to my closet…I especially love the way the trim looks on these particular doors…
So what do you think of the doors?
I am so glad I finally got the courage to dive head first into this project…I am so happy with the end result!
If you are interested to know which paint color I used, see HERE…

The doors are stunning! I love the contrast of the white trim, the door color (I see its not a true black but does look black in the photos) and the wall colors you have throughout your home. Beautiful!! What is the color of the wall in the bedroom you feature here? I really like it with that color but cant really tell if its gray or a blue….love it though! Would love to know the color for my room. Awesome!!!

They look fantastic! I have wanted to do this in my house for a while, but everything was put on hold about a year and a half ago with an impending move. Now we are in a rental in a new city, so I’ll just have to wait for now. I’m jealous!!!
Kailee

Your doors are beautiful! My doors are all the same size. I would love to make a templete for marking installation guidelines on each door. Would you mind sharing the spacing and dimensions you used for the trim so I could use it as a starting point and adjust it to my doors? Also, were they installed with a drill or just carpenters’ glue?
Thank you. Your blog is amazing!

I am obsessed!! My question is where did you find that sunburst mirror above your bed? Or even the ones in the front room? I am having a hard time finding one that I LOVE. Thanks!!!
Emily Hewett
Stephanie, I actually found the one over my bed at Dallas market and the ones in the living are from Homegoods.

I am trying to convince my husband we should paint our doors black. Do you have a pic of the hallway showing all the doors black to match the first “Before” pic you show? He doesn’t believe me that it won’t look bad from the hallway.
Thanks! Beautiful home!
Beeth
Emily, I LOVE those doors. Do you have an “after” pic of the hallway to match your first “before” pic?
I’m trying to convince my husband that it will work and it won’t be too dark. Thanks!!

I was so glad to see this post because I’ve been wondering what to do with my doors. I had a contractor do this to my mothers doors and they almost cost as much as buying new doors. Maybe I should look into doing this again.
Natalie
I love your design! We have gray walls and I have been looking for a comforter to put on our bed that would compliment the walls. I love yours! Do you mind telling me where you got it?? My email is tigerfaith03@yahoo.com.
Thank you!

The comforter was from PB 7 yrs ago and has been discontinued for 6 yrs.
